Soil Association Certification is the UK’s largest and oldest organic certification body with the first set of standards launched in 1973 by the Soil Association charity. At that time, there was increasing demand from shoppers and farmers for a more environmentally sustainable system. The standards provided a stamp of approval that guaranteed quality and integrity in the food they were buying.
Today, Soil Association Certification still provides that reassurance. Our symbol represents our aims and embodies our organic principles of ecology, fairness, care and health. In the UK we certify 90% of organic processors from retail to brands and warehousing, alongside 50% of all farming operators. Our organic symbol is the most recognised and trusted and can be seen on over 70% of organic food and drink sold.
The majority of Clearspring products are certified by Soil Association Certification as theirs is the most recognised logo which has become synonymous with ‘trust’

They also offer inspection services for other schemes, such as British Retail Consortium (BRC) and SALSA as well as certifying to other sustainable schemes ranging from Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®), COSMOS and Food For Life Served Here.
