The Good Hotel Guide 2022: Great Britain & Ireland has presented 10 César awards to a selection of hotels which have demonstrated consistent excellence in their field.
Named after renowned hotelier César Ritz, this year's award for Inn of the Year has been awarded to Helen Browning's Royal Oak.
It is a gently eccentric English pub and mini-hotel set amid 1,500 acres of mostly spectacular organic farmland, with bits of woodland and water, high ground and low ground, and its own 9 mile boundary, so you hardly need to leave the place!
There are 12 bedrooms styled on some of their farm fields, a large garden and decks for alfresco dining, stunning private picnic and lounging spaces, old buildings, ponds and streams...not forgetting their own football field! In our opinion, it's a well deserved win!
